Based in Toronto, CQBC Inc. is a Black-owned, woman-led business consultancy organization. We bring unique expertise from different fields of work including business management, health, and social services, adult education, public relations, media, communications, and research. Our team has experience working with clients within Canada and internationally.

Meet Our Leader

Chantelle Quow, President & CEO of CQBC Inc. has over ten years of experience across multiple functional areas, including mentorship and coaching, strategy design, financial analysis, market research, management training and development, marketing, and entrepreneurship. Chantelle’s passion is in research, predominantly entrepreneurship in Canada. She has been involved in studies that look at the challenges faced by the BIPOC community when navigating the entrepreneurial terrain in North America.

 

Chantelle has an MBA in Strategic Management from Wilfrid Laurier University and a BA in Business Economics – Economic Analysis and Statistical Methods from York University. Her consulting focuses on strategic business development and key marketing and strategy initiatives to meet business needs and improve firm performance. Chantelle has proven experience in collaborating with professionals to bridge the gap between research and practice. She possesses excellent abilities in developing, implementing and evaluating strategic plans for all industries. She has extensive experience in the design and use of metrics and analytics to measure the impact of marketing and strategic planning initiatives.

Managing Director, Dayo Media & Communications

Dayo Kefentse is the bilingual member of our team. She gained a wealth of experience as a communications leader in English and French with a variety of organizations over the past 20 years. In addition to her professional work, Dayo currently serves as a Board Director with Women’s Habitat of Etobicoke. Past community service includes volunteering as a board member with the Obsidian Theatre Company, Canada’s leading culturally-specific theatre group, and with many other deserving organizations.

Natassia Morris
Communications Associate
Natassia is a seasoned arts and marketing management professional with over a decade of experience in integrated marketing, event management, and fundraising. A graduate of the Seneca College Creative Advertising program, Natassia merged her love for the arts sector with her formal education in marketing and has spent the last 12 years applying effective communications and marketing strategy to non-profit arts organizations in Toronto. Her roles have led her to lead and manage donor drives, marketing campaigns, sponsorship development programs, major public events, and organizational transitions.
Nthabiseng Selelo
Coordinator, Research, Media & Communications
Nthabiseng Selelo is a creative and innovative communications and public relations professional who specializes in strategic planning and finding practical solutions to communications problems. Her background has equipped her with a deep understanding in dealing with issues concerning minorities and marginalized communities. She values the idea of creating work that will help with the betterment and empowerment of marginalized communities.
Camelia Guthrie
Community Connector
Camelia is a results-oriented reporter and producer with more than a decade of journalism experience in Canada and the Caribbean. She thrives in deadline-driven environments and is experienced with expanding programs that improve social media and online platforms.
Adam Power
Lead Digital Designer
Adam is a talented digital designer and strategist with experience in creating engaging products for private and public sector clients. His passion for creating fresh and original designs are seen on many websites and digital products. Adam has a bachelor of arts degree from Wilfrid Laurier University, and a post-graduate interactive media management certificate from Centennial College.
Aryana Singh
Intern
Aryana Singh is a fourth-year Media and Communications Studies Student at University of Guelph-Humber, specializing in digital communications. She is currently completing a Winter internship with CQBC Inc. where she will assist the team in content creation and copywriting, graphic design, research, data analysis and more.
